Xavier Isaac Ends Seven Game Power Slide
5 months agoTampa Bay Rays first base prospect Xavier Isaac went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo shot on Thursday. He entered this game with a seven-game-long ball drought. The 20-year-old has looked quite comfortable in his first extended look at High-A pitching this season. Through 59 games, Isaac has posted a .302/.388/.567 slash line with 13 long balls, 57 RBI, 13 swiped bags, and a 30:70 BB:K ratio. Since May 31, he has been on an incredible run with a .364/.442/.636 slash line. The former first-round pick is one of the best prospects in baseball and should be on his way to Double-A in the coming weeks. He remains on track to contend for a major league debut next season.
