Xavier Hutchinson Expected to Get Starter Snaps in Week 1
Xavier Hutchinson is expected to get starter's snaps in the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The former sixth-rounder has impressed under the radar for the Texans going into the 2025 regular season and has an opportunity to make some noise with Christian Kirk (hamstring) ruled out for the season opener. The 25-year-old is certainly a player to watch as a fantasy sleeper early in the year, especially if Kirk misses more than one game, but it's hard to recommend him as a flex play in Week 1 in 12-team leagues with rookies Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins also having bigger roles behind Nico Collins with Kirk out this weekend. Hutchinson caught 12 of 26 targets for 117 yards in 16 regular-season games (three starts) for Houston in 2024 in his second year in the NFL.
