Washington May Target A QB In The Draft
4 years agoThe Washington Football Team holds the 19th overall pick in this year's NFL draft, and they may not be done adding to the quarterback position despite bringing in veteran signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick this offseason. General manager Martin Mayhew said that the team is open to trading up or back from the 19th overall pick. Fitzpatrick gives the team a legitimate starting quarterback for the 2021 season, even if he doesn't have the upside of a top-tier draft prospect at the position. Washington has done their research on the QB prospects in this year's draft and could be in play to trade up to take the fifth quarterback that's expected to go in the first round this year. If they pass up a QB in the first round, Washington could also decide to go with a quarterback in the second round.
