Vidal Brujan Sent Back Down, Expected To Come Back Friday
3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays are technically sending infielder Vidal Brujan back to Triple-A Durham after he was the 27th man for the doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday, but they are fully expected to bring him back up before Friday's game. Brujan, the team's No. 2 prospect, went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Game 2 of the doubleheader after starting in right field in just his third major league game after he was called up to make his debut on Tuesday night. The youngster with elite speed should be rostered in most formats at this point because of his elite speed. And there's no reason to think the Rays will just sit him on the bench when they bring him back, so he should see regular playing time for as long as he's in the Show.
