Tyler Glasnow Has Started Playing Light Catch
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays skipper Kevin Cash said that starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (elbow) has started playing catch "lightly." It's encouraging news for Glasnow, but there's still no guarantee that he'll return to pitch for the Rays or fantasy managers again in 2021. The exciting right-hander was diagnosed with a flexor strain and a partial tear of his UCL last month. Expect the Rays to be plenty cautious with the 27-year-old as well, so although fantasy managers should hang onto him just in case, don't get your hopes up. Glasnow has one of the best young arms in the game and had a very nice 2.66 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 123 strikeouts in 88 innings over 14 starts before his elbow injury.
