Tyler Anderson Possibly Starting On Monday
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Tyler Anderson is apparently expecting to start against the Nationals on Monday, though manager Bud Black hasn't officially made an announcement yet. Anderson has been sidelined since April 5 with inflammation in his left knee, and he had fluid drained from it while on the IL. However, he told reporters that he's ready to carry a full workload now. Anderson is usually a middle-of-the-road pitcher with a career ERA of 4.46 and career WHIP of 1.31, so prospective owners shouldn't set their sights too high, but he's been known to post some excellent games from time to time. That said, it's a game where he would be hosting one of the stronger offenses in the league in the most hitter-friendly environment in the league. Only those who are truly desperate should be embracing this possible start.
