Tyler Anderson Flirts With No-Hitter On Wednesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Anderson came within two outs of a no-hitter in Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. His no-hit bid was broken up by a Shohei Ohtani triple. He was taken out of the game after that and Ohtani wound up scoring after he was lifted. Anderson's final line on the day was still a remarkable one. He pitched 8 1/3 innings and allowed one hit, two walks and one earned run while striking out eight. He earned the win to improve his record to a perfect 8-0 on the year. The left-hander will bring his 2.82 ERA and 0.94 WHIP into his next start against the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.
