Tucker Barnhart Produces From Nine-Hole Tuesday
Tucker Barnhart had a big day at the plate on Tuesday in a 10-7 win over the Minnesota Twins, going 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Barnhart is now hitting .271 with four home runs, 25 RBI and a .782 OPS on the season in 170 at-bats. The 30-year-old backstop won't provide a ton of power and usually hits near the bottom half of the Reds lineup, but he makes plenty of contact and is valuable in two-catcher or NL-only formats. Barnhart entered the game on Tuesday slashing just .190/.261/.286 with no home runs, five RBI and 14 strikeouts in 46 plate appearances in 13 games in the month of June, so his fantasy managers will be hoping that his big day will jump start him to close out the month.
