2 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story (heel) took a big step forward on Sunday by taking at-bats against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) in a simulated game at Fenway Park. Story hasn't played since being removed from the game last Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles with a left heel injury. He could return for the start of a two-game series against the Cincinnati Reds this week. "With Trevor it's all about running right now, how much he can tolerate," manager Alex Cora said. The 29-year-old still has some time to help fantasy managers competing for a championship if he can return this week. In his first season with Boston, Story is slashing .238/.303/.434 with 16 home runs, 66 RBI, 53 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 357 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
