Trevor Lawrence To Be Limited In Rookie Minicamp
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder), the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, will be limited in what he's asked to do in this weekend's rookie minicamp. He is doing well in his rehab from surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, so the Jaguars are just being extra cautious with their franchise signal-caller. It doesn't make any sense for the team to push their prized asset this early in the offseason, even if his surgery was all the way back in February. Lawrence should be 100 percent ready to go by the time training camp begins this summer. He will be the team's starter in Week 1 and has the athleticism, footwork and accuracy to be successful in his rookie season. However, it remains to be seen if Jacksonville's offense will be productive enough around him to support his fantasy value in single-year leagues in 2021.
