Trevor Larnach Starting for Twins in Series Finale
Trevor Larnach (side) is starting in right field and will hit sixth in Sunday's series finale against the division-rival Kansas City Royals and rookie right-hander Ryan Bergert. A side injury kept Larnach from starting in each of the last three games, but he'll return for the final game of the weekend. The 28-year-old served as a pinch-hitter in Saturday's loss. Larnach is hitting .245/.319/.412 with a career-high-tying 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 49 runs scored in his 105 games played in his fifth year in the big leagues with the Twins. He's gotten off to a good start in the month of August, going 6-for-16 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored in five games played. Larnach has also been much better against righties this year, going 78-for-298 (.262) against them with 14 of his 15 home runs on the year.
