Trea Turner Steals Two Bases In Win Over Marlins
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in the 4-1 win over the visiting Miami Marlins in Game 1 of the wild-card series on Tuesday night. It was the sixth time Turner has stolen multiple bases in a game this year, and he's now stolen 32 total bases all year in his first year in Philadelphia. The 30-year-old got off to an ice-cold start in the first half but rebounded to finish the regular season with a .266/.320/.459 slash line, 26 home runs, 76 RBI, 30 stolen bases and 102 runs scored in 639 at-bats. Turner will face Marlins left-hander Braxton Garrett in Game 2 on Wednesday night. Turner has gone 2-for-6 against Garrett in his career, with both of hits clearing the fences for solo homers.
