St. Louis Blues defenseman Torey Krug has injured his right foot while training ahead of the upcoming NHL season, general manager Doug Armstrong announced on Tuesday. The team is set to re-evaluate Krug on Oct. 1. The Blues start the 2023-24 campaign on Oct. 12. It appears that Krug still has a chance to play on opening night, but the situation is clearly far from ideal for the Blues, with the 32-year-old set to miss the start of training camp at minimum. Once he's cleared to play, Krug will hope to produce a bounce-back season after being limited to 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists) in 63 games last term and finishing with a minus-26 rating.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
