Tomas Tatar, Montreal Sink Vegas In Shootout
5 years agoThe Montreal Canadiens jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on the struggling Vegas Golden Knights but needed a shootout winner from Tomas Tatar to take the victory 5-4 on Saturday night. Nick Cousins had two goals in the win. He now has seven on the season. Dale Weise added two helpers and now has three assists in nine games. He also chipped in four hits. Ilya Kovalchuk scored a goal and has found the back of the net three times in the last two games. He has four goals and eight points with Montreal. Vegas goalie Marc-Andre Fleury continues to struggle and has had just one really good game in his past seven appearances. Paul Stastny compiled two points and now has four in the last two games but left early due to injury when he was hit in the mouth with a puck. Shea Theodore added three assists and now has five in the last three games.
