Tom Brady Played With MCL Tear Last Year
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (knee) led his team to a championship in his first year with the organization in 2021, and he did it at 43 years old while playing with a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee that he suffered in his final season with the New England Patriots. Brady finally had surgery on the knee in late February after winning his seventh Super Bowl ring. The GOAT took part in a portion of minicamp in June and should be good to go for training camp at the end of July. While Brady becomes more risky with each passing year because of his age and now this knee injury, it hasn't really slowed him down, as he still managed to throw for 4,633 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2021. Brady has all of his offensive weapons returning this year and one of the best wideout trios in the NFL in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, so he'll remain at least a low-end QB1 target in fantasy drafts after he finished as the QB7 in his first year in Tampa.
