Tim Anderson Not Playing Sunday
11 months agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is not in the team's starting lineup against the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday. It looks to be a normal day of rest for Anderson in the series finale against the Fish. The 29-year-old shortstop is still searching for his first home run of the 2023 season. He's gone 8-for-30 (.267) with two doubles, an RBI and a stolen base in seven games so far in the month of June. The two-time All-Star just hasn't been able to get it going yet at the plate, and overall he's hitting a disappointing .263 (50-for-190) with 10 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven stolen bases and a .300 on-base percentage. With Anderson resting on Sunday, Elvis Andrus is starting at the 6 and batting eighth in the order against Marlins left-hander Braxton Garrett.
