Tim Anderson Not Playing Sunday
2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is not in the team's starting lineup against the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday. It looks to be a normal day of rest for Anderson in the series finale against the Fish. The 29-year-old shortstop is still searching for his first home run of the 2023 season. He's gone 8-for-30 (.267) with two doubles, an RBI and a stolen base in seven games so far in the month of June. The two-time All-Star just hasn't been able to get it going yet at the plate, and overall he's hitting a disappointing .263 (50-for-190) with 10 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven stolen bases and a .300 on-base percentage. With Anderson resting on Sunday, Elvis Andrus is starting at the 6 and batting eighth in the order against Marlins left-hander Braxton Garrett.
