Tampa Bay Rays outfield prospect Theo Gillen went 3-for-4 on Tuesday for Single-A Charleston, adding a pair of stolen bases in the contest. It was the third straight multi-hit effort for the 2024 first-rounder, going 7-for-12 (.583) over that stretch and pushing his batting average to .285 with a .430 slugging percentage and 28 steals in 47 games. The 19-year-old is walking at an elite 22.1 percent rate to boot, which buoys his Carolina League-leading .460 OBP and second-best OPS of .890. The Rays' second-ranked prospect jumped 10 spots to No. 67 overall on MLB.com's latest prospect list refresh, and should earn some at-bats at High-A later this year.--Jarod RuppRead More News
