Tanner Scott Records 15th Save, Allows Home Run
Tanner Scott picked up his 15th save of the season in his team's 6-5 win over the Washington Nationals. However, Scott allowed a solo home run to Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams. Homers have been a persistent issue for Scott this season, as his 1.29 HR/9 allowed represents his highest mark since 2019. That's been the main driver of his 3.79 ERA, as his 0.95 WHIP and 26.5% K-BB% suggest he should receive better luck in terms of runs allowed going forward. Scott has seemingly settled in as the Dodgers' primary closer. He's recorded saves in five out of his last seven appearances and should continue to see consistent opportunities to close games.
