3 years agoThere is a strong chance that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will get the start over P.J. Walker in Week 11 against the Washington Football Team, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. Newton didn't have a big role and was basically just used as a red-zone weapon, but he ran for a touchdown on three carries and tossed a touchdown on four passing attempts in his return to Carolina on Sunday. Meanwhile, starter P.J. Williams predictably underwhelmed in the blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals. This was a nice first game back for Newton and he should be a priority addition for anyone in need of a QB. Newton may not light things up on a weekly basis with his arm, but his rushing impact alone could make him a streamable low-end QB1, depending on the matchup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
