Shedeur Sanders 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Whether He Starts Is Uncertain, But Not Rosy Either Way
Shedeur Sanders is currently involved in a battle for the starting QB position for his team. QBs Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Sanders are all being given reps in organized team activities and training camp. The Browns' quarterback situation feels like a bit of a circus, which isn't a surprise. Should Sanders win the starting job emphatically, he'll obviously be worth rostering in all 2QB and superflex leagues. But he struggles massively under pressure. He tends to drift in the pocket with no rhyme or reason while waiting for his reads to open. He has good accuracy, but takes a ton of absolutely terrible, drive-killing and sometimes game-killing sacks. He doesn't have an ability to mitigate pressure, and often seems to play like he's completely unaware it's coming. His pressure-to-sack ratio is a red flag. Should he start, it will depend on the play of the offensive line whether he looks like a total bust. But with Cleveland not having a good pass-catching room either, there's no reason to take Sanders in 1QB leagues.
