Tampa Bay Rays reliever Sergio Romo is starting for the second straight game on Sunday. Romo has been an elite option against right handed hitters throughout his career and the Rays are trying a new technique to take advantage of it. The Rays are facing the Angels this weekend who have three right handed threats to start their lineup in Kinsler, Trout and Upton. Romo entered the game Saturday and struck out all three in the first inning before letting Yarbrough come in and pitch another 6 1/3 innings. Romo is starting the game on Sunday as well and the Rays are hoping for similar success. Though Romo has very little fantasy value, especially in this role, this does affect the fantasy value of the entire Rays pitching staff if they continue this unorthodox practice as it will erase the possibility of a quality start for pitchers and potentially make wins more random as well.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
