Joel Wolfe, the agent for Hiroshima Carp star outfielder Seiya Suzuki, said that his client isn't re-evaluating coming to Major League Baseball based on Tuesday's news that the start of the 2022 regular season will be cancelled due to the ongoing labor dispute. "Seiya is 100% committed to playing in MLB this year. He's shown remarkable patience and resolve," Wolfe said. Suzuki cannot negotiate with any teams until baseball's lockout is lifted, so his market remains in limbo.
