Saquon Barkley On Track For Start Of Season
4 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee), who tore his ACL in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears last year, is on track to be ready for the start of the 2021 season, according to sources. It was reported several months ago that Barkley was doing very well in his rehab, and this is more evidence of that. The consensus No. 2 pick in fantasy drafts behind Christian McCaffrey had just 25 touches before his season ended in 2020. Despite the disappointment last year, Barkley and the Giants ground game could thrive in 2021 after they got things figured out without him late in the year on the ground. Barkley will undoubtedly fall in the running back rankings because of his injuries, but he could be a steal in the first round of drafts this fall if he can stay healthy over a full season.
