Sandy Alcantara Allows One Run In A Loss
Sandy Alcantara took a tough loss in Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Alcantara pitched eight innings, allowing just one run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. He was cruising all day and was through seven scoreless innings before Marlins manager Don Mattingly made yet another mistake managing his pitching staff, allowing Alcantara to come out for a fourth time through the lineup while he was approaching 100 pitches. With the Marlins unable to score any runs, the team's ace took the loss, dropping his record to 7-11 but lowering his ERA to 3.39.
