Bubba Chandler Has Mixed Results in Tuesday's Outing
Bubba Chandler allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven against Triple-A Omaha. Chandler's swing and miss stuff was on display in this start, generating 17 swings and misses on 48 swings. His high 90s fastball did most of the work with 11 whiffs, with each of his secondary offerings producing at least one. However, the eight hits allowed tied a season high. It wasn't a ton of loud contact with an 88.2 mph average exit velocity, but it limited his efficiency. Positively, he continues to stretch out and reached 91 pitches in the outing. For the season, the top prospect holds a 3.69 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 113:46 K:BB ratio in 92.2 innings. His MLB debut should be expected to come relatively soon, and he'd be viewed as a priority add in standard leagues.
