Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Ryan Sloan allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks (one hit-by-pitch) while striking out six in four innings of work on Wednesday at Single-A Modesto. The performance was a continuation of a strong stretch of pitching from Seattle's 2024 second-rounder, during which time he's allowed one earned run in 18 innings pitched (0.50 ERA) with a 0.78 WHIP and an 18:2 K:BB. For the season, the righty owns a 3.62 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 22.5 percent K-BB%, but this recent hot stretch could earn him a few starts at High-A in the coming weeks. Armed with a 6-foot-5 frame and a high 90s fastball, he's got the makings of an impactful fantasy player, but at just 19 years old, he's still likely a few years away from the majors.--Jarod RuppRead More News
