Royce Freeman Leads Rushing Attack Against Seattle
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Royce Freeman had a team-high nine carries for 27 rushing yards in the 30-3 preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night. He also added five receptions on six targets for a team-high 44 yards receiving. With Melvin Gordon III and Mike Boone out with injuries, Freeman took advantage of the increased opportunities. A third-round pick out of Oregon in 2018, the 25-year-old is likely to open the 2021 regular season as the No. 3 back behind Gordon and rookie Javonte Williams with Boone not expected to be ready. Freeman would only have fleeting fantasy value off the waiver wire in deeper leagues if Gordon or Williams are injured early in the year.
