2 years agoThe Kansas City Royals agreed to a one-year, $2.2 million deal on Friday with left-hander Kris Bubic to avoid salary arbitration. Bubic wasn't very good for KC last year, going 3-13 with a career-high 5.58 ERA (4.78 FIP), 1.69 WHIP and career-low 18.7 percent strikeout rate in 129 innings over 28 outings (27 starts) in his third MLB season. The 25-year-old southpaw will be off the fantasy radar in mixed leagues entering spring drafts. In his three seasons with the Royals, he's posted a 4.89 ERA (4.93 FIP), 1.53 WHIP and 20 percent strikeout rate in 67 appearances (57 starts).
