Robinson Chirinos Slugging .528 At Minute Maid Park
5 years agoHouston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos will play in his first postseason games since 2016 when the team begins their playoff run on Friday. Chirinos has been a solid addition to a powerful Astros lineup this season and has thrived offensively playing at Minute Maid Park. The veteran backstop posted only a .673 OPS on the road this season but slashed .273/.387/.529 with 10 home runs and 13 doubles at home. The Astros will also keep backup Martin Maldonado on the playoff roster but Chirinos should see most of the playing time at home during the postseason.
