Wisconsin-Whitewater center Quinn Meinerz (hand), considered the best center in this year's draft by some, completed 33 repetitions on the bench press on Thursday at a workout run by the Green Bay Packers. Meinerz is coming off a broken hand at the Senior Bowl, but he looks to be healthy ahead of the NFL draft later this month. He will likely be a Day 2 pick, but his legend continues to grow and has been in contact with all 32 teams during the pre-draft process. The Packers have an obvious in-state connection and also have a need at the position after losing Corey Linsley in free agency. Meinerz impressed at the Senior Bowl and could be a starting-caliber player capable of either replacing Linsley or playing guard to allow a player like Lucas Patrick or Elgton Jenkins to move to center.--Keith Hernandez
