Patrick Corbin To Start Opening Day
7 years agoPatrick Corbin will be the starter when the Diamondbacks open their season against the Rockies on March 29th. Normally Corbin would be the fourth starter in the rotation but the spring schedule and injury to Zack Greinke allows Corbin's next start to line up with Opening Day. Corbin made marked improvements in the second half of last season, posting a 3.26 ERA while striking out nearly a batter per inning. With the humidor likely to dampen offense at Chase Field, Corbin has a chance to take a step forward this season. He makes for a solid late late round investment for owners looking to build rotation depth.
