Houston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick (oblique) is scheduled to join Triple-A Sugar Land for a rehab assignment starting on Tuesday. McCormick continues to work his way back from an oblique strain that has kept him sidelined since the beginning of June. The hope is that McCormick can return to the Astros roster shortly after the All-Star break. Before going down, McCormick was slashing .256/.347/.302 with two RBI and one stolen base in 36 games. He's not someone that needs to be rostered in fantasy leagues right now.--Andy WebbSource: Brian McTaggart

Houston Astros starting pitcher Cristian Javier (elbow) was able to throw two innings of live batting practice. Javier continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery from last year. The hope is that Javier can head out on a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break. The assumption is that Javier is going to need a few rehab starts before rejoining the Astros rotation. Possibly, Javier can be an option for the Astros over the last month or two of the season. He's not someone that needs to be stashed at the moment in fantasy leagues.--Andy WebbSource: Brian McTaggart

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Enrique Hernandez (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday. Hernandez has reportedly been dealing with elbow inflammation for a while now, so the team decided to give him some time off. Luckily, Hernandez is dealing with inflammation in his non-throwing arm, so hopefully he'll be able to return faster. In a corresponding move, outfielder James Outman has been recalled from Triple-A. Outman figures to serve as a depth option in the outfield over the next few weeks. Outman will bat ninth and cover center field versus right-hander Freddy Peralta on Monday. The left-handed slugger is 3-for-24 at the big league level this season, so he's not an ideal fantasy option.--Andy WebbSource: Los Angeles Dodgers

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene (groin) was expected to take the ball for Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. Now that won't happen after Greene experienced renewed tightness in his right groin. The right-hander underwent an MRI on Monday after feeling discomfort in his groin. For now, the Reds are taking it day-by-day, but Greene figures to be out until the end of July. Fantasy managers will have a better idea after the MRI results are in. Greene has been out since June 4 due to a Grade 1 right groin strain. There was some hope Greene could pitch before the All-Star break, but that is over now. Fantasy managers can be hopeful to get something out of Greene before the end of the month.--Andy WebbSource: Charlie Goldsmith

Chicago White Sox first baseman Ryan Noda (quad) has been placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Noda suffered a right quad strain during Sunday's loss to the Colorado Rockies. He figures to miss a few weeks and will hopefully be back by the end of July. In the meantime, Tristan Gray has been called up from Triple-A to take over the active spot on the roster. Noda isn't someone worth rostering right now given he's 3-for-34 over his last 16 games.--Andy WebbSource: Chicago White Sox

Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Joey Bart is not in his team's lineup for their Monday matchup against the Kansas City Royals. Bart was also on the bench for Pittsburgh on Sunday and the team has not announced an injury, so it appears as though he may be losing playing time behind the dish. Bart had a breakout 2024 with Pittsburgh but has struggled so far this season, slashing .234/.335/.288 with just one home run in 212 plate appearances. Youngster Henry Davis takes his place at catcher for Pittsburgh on Monday night.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz is not in his team's lineup for their Monday matchup against the Kansas City Royals and left-handed starter Noah Cameron. In 343 plate appearances so far this season, Cruz has hit .203 with 15 home runs, 47 runs scored, 35 RBI, and 28 stolen bases. His numbers are significantly worse against left-handed pitching, as he's hit .117 with just one home run and 35 strikeouts in 89 plate appearances. The uber-talented Cruz continues to provide fantasy value via home runs and stolen bases, but his 32.9% strikeout rate holds down his upside. Alexander Canario will take his place in center field on Monday against Kansas City.--Will BradySource: mlb.com

Houston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers (calf) will miss his team's Monday matchup against the Cleveland Guardians. Meyers was pulled in the sixth inning of Houston's 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday with calf tightness. Meyers has been a surprise source of batting average and speed in 2025, hitting .308 with 14 stolen bases and 47 runs scored in 322 plate appearances. He's cut his strikeout rate to a career-best 18%, but he's also posted the second-worst ISO (.097) of his career and hit just three home runs. Kennedy Corona will take his spot in center field on Monday night.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

Tampa Bay Rays infielders Brandon Lowe (side) and Ha-Seong Kim (calf) are both absent from their team's lineup against the Detroit Tigers on Monday. This will be Kim's third consecutive missed game after being activated from the injured list for his 2025 debut on Friday. Lowe was pulled early from Tampa Bay's 7-5 victory on Sunday over the Minnesota Twins. He's been one of the Rays' most valuable hitters so far, slashing .272/.324/.487 with 19 home runs, 50 RBI, and 50 runs scored in 343 plate appearances. Neither player has been placed on the injured list yet, so the team is clearly hoping that a day or two of rest will allow each to rejoin the lineup.--Will BradySource: FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun - Ryan Bass

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left thumb, per a team announcement. Hoskins injured the thumb in a collision at first base on Saturday and has since been diagnosed with a grade two sprain, so this announcement comes as no surprise. Hoskins has been a steady contributor for Milwaukee this season, slashing .242/,340/.428 with 12 home runs and 42 RBI in 318 plate appearances. Due to the severity of the sprain, this injury figures to keep him out of action for a considerable stretch of time. Mid-season trade acquisition Andrew Vaughn was called up as the corresponding move, and Vaughn looks to have an extended runway at first base for the Brewers in Hoskins' absence.--Will BradySource: Milwaukee Brewers

Boston Red Sox infielder Marcelo Mayer is not in his team's starting lineup for their Monday matchup against the Colorado Rockies and left-handed starter Austin Gomber. Mayer has struggled in his rookie season overall, hitting .219 with a 31.1% strikeout rate across 103 plate appearances. The lefty-swinger has been even worse against same-handed pitching, hitting .182 with just one extra-base hit, albeit in a limited 22-plate appearance sample. Right-handed hitting Nate Eaton will take Mayer's regular spot at third base on Monday night.--Will BradySource: Red Sox

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran is not in his team's starting lineup for their Monday matchup against the Colorado Rockies and left-handed starter Austin Gomber. It's been a struggle this year for the lefty-swinging Duran against same-handed pitching. He's batting .216 with just one home run and 41 strikeouts in 140 plate appearances versus lefties so far this season. Rob Refsnyder will play left field on Monday against Colorado in his place. Fantasy managers should closely monitor whether Duran continues to lose playing time against lefty starters, as there are plenty of contenders for at-bats in Boston's outfield mix.--Will BradySource: Red Sox

Colorado Rockies shortstop/outfielder Tyler Freeman (hamstring) returns to the lineup Monday against the Red Sox, starting in right field and batting leadoff. Freeman sat out Sunday's series finale against the White Sox to rest a minor hamstring issue but is back in action and fully healthy. Freeman has been on fire over the past 30 days, batting .370 and providing steady production across multiple categories. With eligibility at both shortstop and outfield, he's a versatile and underrated fantasy asset. Rostered in just 15% of Yahoo leagues, Freeman offers batting average, runs, and steals. He's an under-the-radar pickup for managers needing a spark can look to add him in 12-plus team leagues.--Shaun AlbinSource: mlb.com

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culppepper went 3-for-4 on Sunday at Double-A Wichita, including a walk, three singles, and one run scored. The Twins' fourth-ranked prospect continues to impress since his promotion to Double-A, hitting .321 (18-for-56) with a pair of home runs, three steals, and an 8:11 BB:K in 13 games. For the season, the 22-year-old is slashing .299/.389/.469 with 11 home runs and 18 steals. The right-handed slugger has quickly become an interesting name to watch for fantasy purposes, and the 2024 first-rounder could be knocking on the door to the majors sometime next year.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB.com
