Tatsuro Taira returned to the win column by defeating HyunSung Park via second-round submission in the main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Throughout this fight, Taira showcased that he's a level above Park. After Taira knocked his opponent down and Park became susceptible to takedowns, it was only a matter of time before he would finish Park. HyunSung Park suffered a second-round submission to Tatsuro Taira in the main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Park took the fight on short notice, replacing the original opponent, Amir Albazi. He did well enough in the first round, but things started to go downhill for Park as he got knocked down. From that point on, Park got taken down a few times and was outclassed on the ground before getting submitted with a face crank. In 6:06 of action, Park landed only three significant strikes. Mateusz Rebecki suffered a unanimous decision loss to Chris Duncan in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Both fighters threw caution to the wind as fans couldn't believe that neither fighter was going down. Rebecki was swollen and bloody, but he never backed away from a fight. In the end, it was Duncan who would ultimately come out on top. In 15 minutes of action, Rebecki landed two takedowns and 114 significant strikes. With the loss, Rebecki dropped to 20-3 as a pro. Chris Duncan extended his win streak to three when he defeated Mateusz Rebecki in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. It was a bloody and entertaining back-and-forth fight, but the judges saw Duncan as the winner at the end of the fight. Both fighters went to their limit and were swollen, cut and covered in blood, and the fight just might win the Fight of the Year award. In 15 minutes of action, Duncan landed 92 significant strikes. Elves Brener suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Esteban Ribovics on the main card of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. It was an entertaining back-and-forth bout, but Ribovics was the one who did a bit more with his striking. Ribovics threw more punches, but Brener was in there the whole time, firing back. In the final 30 seconds, Brener caught Ribovics with a pair of punches and was trying to finish his opponent, but it wasn't enough to get Brener the win. It was a competitive, back-and-forth fight, but Ribovics was the one pushing the pace, and his striking won him the fight as he proved that he was more effective as more faster striker.
