Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) is officially active for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. He had been listed as questionable after logging two consecutive limited practices. While Love is going to start, the Packers are expected to be cautious with him, which means they'll monitor his pain levels and performance throughout the duration of Sunday's game. In the event that he can't finish the game, Malik Willis would be next in line at the quarterback position. Between his injury, a tough matchup against the Lions, and some rainy conditions in Green Bay, Love drops to the QB2 tier in fantasy football this week.--Andersen PickardSource: Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is officially active for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. He had been listed as questionable after logging a pair of limited practices prior to this weekend. The 26-year-old has been quite productive in his first season with Green Bay, tallying 667 rushing yards, 115 receiving yards, and four touchdowns while ranking as the overall RB11. He's worth deploying as a low-end RB1 this week, especially with rainy conditions expected to necessitate a run-heavy gameplan for both Green Bay and Detroit.--Andersen PickardSource: Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) is inactive for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the wrong direction after missing three consecutive practices. The 27-year-old will now have extra time to get healthy between today's absence and the Packers' Week 10 bye. For now, Eric Stokes and Corey Ballentine should see extra opportunities in the secondary.--Andersen PickardSource: Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) is expected to start in Sunday's game against the Lions. However, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported that the team will monitor the signal-caller throughout the contest. If Love begins to show any signs of discomfort related to the groin strain suffered in Week 8 against the Jaguars, he'll be pulled, opening the door for Malik Willis to take over under center. While fantasy managers were certainly thrilled to hear the news regarding Love's availability in Week 9, he'll remain a risky option, considering he could be pulled at any point during the game.--Dennis ClausenSource: Jay Glazer

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson hasn't been able to do much damage as the backup this season. Wilson did rush for 54 yards in Week 6, but since then Wilson has been held to 16 yards over the last two games. The 25-year-old hasn't seen the field much lately with Josh Jacobs (ankle) healthy. There was some concern over Jacobs' status earlier in the week, but he appears to be good to go for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. That being said, Wilson will remain the backup and isn't worth rostering in most redraft formats. He's worth a stash in deep leagues or dynasty formats because he'd likely become the starter if anything happens to Jacobs.--Andy WebbSource: ESPN

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is expected to suit up for Sunday's NFC North clash with the Lions. The veteran didn't practice on Wednesday, although he logged limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. However, it wasn't enough to prevent him from earning a questionable tag for Week 9. The 26-year-old is coming off a strong showing, amassing 25 carries for 127 yards and two scores in the Week 8 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, Jacobs will have a challenging matchup against a Lions defense that has held opposing running backs in check this season, so fantasy managers could see him finish below expectations. With that said, he's still a must-start in all formats.--Dennis ClausenSource: Adam Schefter

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) is expected to play (and start) in Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Lions. The signal-caller injured his groin in the Week 8 matchup with Jacksonville, ending his day prematurely. While there were reports indicating that the injury wasn't as serious as initially believed, he didn't practice on Wednesday before logging limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. Fortunately, all signs are pointing toward his availability for the pivotal matchup, barring a setback. Without question, Love's anticipated participation in Sunday's contest is great news for fantasy managers. However, he has been mediocre versus Detroit over the years, throwing for 648 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 64.7% of his attempts. Granted, Love is still a must-start, but fantasy managers may not see him at his best, especially since he may have lingering issues related to the injury.--Dennis ClausenSource: Adam Schefter

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) expects to play on Sunday when the team hosts their division-rival Detroit Lions. Per Rapoport, there have been no setbacks in Love's recovery from a groin injury he suffered in Week 8, and barring something unforeseen, he's tracking to play in the pivotal Week 9 matchup. It's excellent news for the Pack, who, at 6-2, can take control of the NFC North with a win over their 6-1 rivals. Fantasy managers will still want to monitor Love's status ahead of Sunday, as even if the 26-year-old plays, Green Bay could lean on running back Josh Jacobs a smidge more than usual.--Alex CiullaSource: Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus looks to keep his run of perfection going as the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. McManus has been perfect on all of his kicks this season, whether it be field goals or extra point attempts. He's been a perfect 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and a pristine 6-for-6 on extra points and in both games, has kicked the game-winning field goal, so pressure-packed situations aren't fazing McManus. After a rough early season for former Packers kicker Brayden Narveson that led to his exit, McManus has provided the Packers with stability and dependability. The offensive environment for Week 9's matchup against the Lions should be ripe with offensive opportunity, so consider McManus a solid fantasy kicker in the team's matchup against the Lions.--Kevin Tompkins - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

The Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams' unit has been a great D/ST to start for fantasy managers this season, but they will have their hands full as the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. The Lions are coming off of a 52-point blowout of the Tennessee Titans in Week 8 and stride into Lambeau Field with huge offensive momentum. The Packers were a top-10 fantasy defense from Week 2 through Week 6 but in the last two weeks, have scored just nine fantasy points against the Texans and Jaguars. Against this Lions team that can score at any time and in multiple ways, the opportunistic Packers' defense will have some chances, but it's a unit you shouldn't be starting in your fantasy lineups this week.--Kevin Tompkins - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has been on a solid run of production and that should continue this week when the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Since returning from a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team in Week 6, Doubs has double-digit fantasy points in each of his last three games. Doubs has 18 targets in his last two games and has been the most targeted Packer in the last three weeks. Of course, Doubs remaining heavily targeted in the Packers' offense is contingent on Jordan Love (groin) being able to play. Love was listed as questionable in the team's final practice report and if he doesn't play, Malik Willis will start. Doubs would take a big hit if Willis does play, where he would be a flex play. If Love starts in Week 9, fantasy managers should slot Doubs into lineups as a low-end WR3.--Kevin Tompkins - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed is looking to get off his two-game run of disappointment as the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Over the past two games, Reed has just seven targets, four receptions and 65 receiving yards against the Texans and Jaguars. Reed has a glimmer of hope in this matchup against the division-leading Lions, as the Lions are the worst defense in the entire league in giving up fantasy points and receiving yards per game to slot wide receivers. If starting quarterback Jordan Love (questionable, groin) can play against the Lions, Reed should be a locked-in fantasy starter. If the quarterback is Malik Willis, Reed should still be in fantasy lineups but is probably more of a WR3.--Kevin Tompkins - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Jacobs sat out during Wednesday's practice but was upgraded to a limited participant during Thursday and Friday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend. Jacobs is coming off his best performance of the season as he tallied 127 yards off 25 carries and found the end zone twice. If Jacobs is unable to suit up, fantasy managers should expect Emanuel Wilson to see the majority of carries. Wilson would only be viewed as a low-end flex option as the Lions have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season.--Andy SmithSource: Tom Pelissero
