Wyndham Clark Finishes Tied For 27th At RBC Heritage
Source: Data Golf
Wyndham Clark finished tied for 27th at the RBC Heritage three weeks ago and is now focusing on preparing for the Truist Championship at The Philadelphia Cricket Club. This season, Clark has four top-25 finishes and has missed the cut only once. Over the past 12 months, he ranks in the 62nd percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is significant because the Wissahickon Course at The Philadelphia Cricket Club features nine par-4s that are under 450 yards. While Clark could be a solid addition to DFS lineups this week, including him does carry some risk.Nicolai Hojgaard Looking To Build Off Last Week's Runner-Up Finish
Source: PGA Tour
In last week's Zurich Classic, Nicolai Hojgaard and his brother Rasmus finished runner-up behind the team of Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak. Prior to that, he was having a mostly miserable 2025 season, with four straight missed cuts after finishing eighth at the Mexico Open. This week's venue, TPC Craig Ranch, is one of the least challenging venues on Tour. With the eighth widest fairways and the 13th lowest rough penalty, players can have freedom off the tee and swing away. This could play nicely for Hojgaard, who ranks 20th in driving distance (310.3) and has struggled with driving accuracy, ranking 118th (57.35%). While this may be true, it's still hard to trust starting him in DFS formats completely. He is a dark horse play at best this week. Gary Woodland Could See Success At CJ CUP
Source: PGA Tour
2025 has been very hit or miss for Gary Woodland. His best finish came at the Texas Children's Houston Open, where he finished runner-up to Min Woo Lee. That style of golf course is very similar to this week's venue, TPC Craig Ranch. The course measures 7,414 yards and is one of the least challenging venues on the PGA Tour. The fairways are some of the widest, and the rough is some of the shortest, which gives players more freedom to swing away off the tee. This could play very nicely for Woodland, who has consistently been one of the best drivers of the golf ball, including this year, where he ranks 11th in average driving distance (313.3 yards) and 49th in strokes gained off the tee (+0.286). He could be a strong value play in DFS formats this week.Cam Davis Making First Appearance At TPC Craig Ranch
Source: PGA Tour
After a solid start to 2025, Cam Davis has struggled severely. The last two tournaments have been much better, but prior to that, Davis missed five cuts in a row. The Australian will make his first-ever appearance at this week's venue, TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The course is one of the least challenging on tour, has some of the widest fairways, and has little to no penalty for misses off the tee. Players who usually excel at this venue typically hit it long off the tee, which has not been one of Davis's strong suits. He currently ranks 107th in driving distance at 298.9 yards. With his recent lackluster play, it's hard to trust him in DFS formats this week.Sam Burns Could Be Due For A Great Week At TPC Craig Ranch
Source: PGA Tour
This week, Sam Burns will make his first appearance at TPC Craig Ranch since 2022, when it was the AT&T Byron Nelson. Back in 2021, he finished runner-up at this venue to K.H. Lee. So far in 2025, Burns has played fairly decent with two top 20 finishes, including a T-8 at The Sentry, and has only missed three cuts. TPC Craig Ranch presents one of the least challenging venues on the PGA Tour with the eighth widest fairways and rough that doesn't necessarily penalize players for missing off the tee. One area where players have excelled and historically finished at the top is driving distance, where Burns ranks 55th with a 304.4 average driving distance. The LSU grad is an excellent play this week and should be considered in all formats. Patrick Rodgers A Solid Value Play At TPC Craig Ranch
Source: PGA Tour
Patrick Rodgers has put together a solid season, recording five top-25 finishes and missing just three cuts through the first four months. He'll look to keep that momentum going at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's made seven appearances, missing the cut just once and posting a best finish of T27 back in 2017. TPC Craig Ranch rewards distance and tee-to-green play, areas where Rodgers has held his own, ranking 53rd in driving distance and 95th in strokes gained from tee to green per round (plus-0.020). His approach play has been less consistent, ranking 126th, though he sits in the 56th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards, a range that accounts for 36.6% of approach shots at this course. Rodgers' form and tournament history are encouraging, and he is worth considering at his price tag of $7,400 on DraftKings.Carson Young Looking To Recapture Form At CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
Carson Young and teammate Akshay Bhatia missed the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, marking Young's second straight missed cut and his fourth in the last seven starts. He'll look to reverse that trend at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's posted solid results with a T30 and T14 over the past two years. However, TPC Craig Ranch rewards distance and strong tee-to-green play, areas where Young has struggled. He ranks 155th in driving distance, 102nd in strokes gained from tee to green per round (minus-0.083), and 120th in approach (minus-0.149). Things don't improve much on the greens, either, where he's losing 0.239 strokes per round putting. Priced at just $6,700 on DraftKings, Young has some course history appeal, but his recent form suggests he is best left on the bench this week.Matt McCarty An Intriguing Value Play At CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
Matt McCarty and partner Mason Andersen missed the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, but McCarty has been trending in the right direction individually with three top-20 finishes in his last five starts. He'll look to keep that momentum going at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's making his tournament debut. Success at TPC Craig Ranch often hinges on distance off the tee and overall tee-to-green performance, areas where McCarty has struggled. He ranks 146th in driving distance, 132nd in strokes gained per round from tee to green (minus-0.302), and 148th in approach (minus-0.329). Despite this, he ranks in the 83rd percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards over the past 12 months, which accounts for 36.6% of approach shots at this course. He also gains 0.275 strokes per round putting, giving him upside if his irons cooperate. At $7,500 on DraftKings, McCarty is a risky but intriguing value option. Will Zalatoris Searching For Putting Form At CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
Will Zalatoris has put together a solid season, recording five top-30 finishes in his first nine starts. However, he's struggled recently, failing to finish better than T47 in his last three events, including a missed cut at The Masters. He'll look to rebound at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's competed four times but made the cut only once (in 2021). In his two appearances at TPC Craig Ranch, Zalatoris has lost a combined 8.558 strokes putting, a trend that has continued into 2025. He ranks 142nd in strokes gained putting this season, losing 0.327 strokes per round with his flatstick. Fortunately, his ball-striking remains elite — he's 15th on tour in strokes gained on approach, gaining 0.631 strokes per round. Zalatoris' performance hinges largely on his putter, and at $8,800 on DraftKings, fantasy managers will be banking on him finding his form on the greens.Sam Stevens A Risky Play With Upside At CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
2025 has not been an ideal start for Sam Stevens, who has managed just one top-10 finish through 14 events. He'll look to turn things around at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's made two appearances, finishing T62 and T34 over the past two seasons. With TPC Craig Ranch featuring the eighth-widest fairways on tour, driving accuracy is less critical, shifting the focus to approach play and putting—two areas where Stevens has struggled. He ranks 113th in strokes gained on approach and 106th in putting, losing strokes in both. However, he does rank in the 80th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards, the range that accounts for 36.6% of approach shots at this course. Priced at $7,600 on DraftKings, Stevens has solid value upside but comes with clear risk.Sungjae Im Riding Momentum Into CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
After back-to-back finishes of T60 or worse, Sungjae Im has gotten back on track with two straight results of T11 or better. He now looks to carry that momentum into the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, making his first appearance at TPC Craig Ranch. Players will be tested from tee to green this week, with the biggest emphasis coming on approach play. That's been a weak spot for Im this season, as he ranks 178th on tour in strokes gained on approach, losing 0.854 strokes per round, and sits in the 50th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards, a range that makes up 36.6% of all approaches here. Fortunately, he's been strong around the greens, ranking ninth in strokes gained around the green (plus-0.462) and 38th in putting (plus-0.323). At $10,000 on DraftKings, fantasy managers will need to count on his short game to return value.Ben Griffin Looking To Stay Hot After First Career Win
Source: PGA Tour
Ben Griffin has been putting together a strong season, recording four top-10 finishes, including his first career victory last week at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside partner Andrew Novak. He now looks to carry that momentum into the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he finished T13 last year. With TPC Craig Ranch featuring the eighth-widest fairways on tour, driving accuracy becomes less of a factor, placing added emphasis on approach play and putting. Griffin has gained 0.271 strokes per round on approach, ranking 54th on tour, and sits in the 52nd percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards, a range that accounts for 36.6% of all approach shots at this course. His putting, however, has been inconsistent, ranking 102nd in strokes gained putting and losing 0.035 strokes per round. Griffin brings a solid all-around profile and will look to build on last week's win, but his $9,200 DraftKings price tag means fantasy managers should weigh their options carefully.Jake Knapp Looking For More Success At TPC Craig Ranch
Source: Data Golf
2024 was a successful CJ Cup debut for Jake Knapp, who finished solo eighth following a poor final round. He hopes to have repeat success this year, but the current form with the irons makes it hard to have a high confidence level in the 30-year-old. He's averaged -0.94 strokes gained on approach over his last four starts, but every other part of his game is near normal performance levels. Knapp's proficiency with the driver has resurged in recent weeks, which he'll certainly need to continue for any chance at a good week. Unfortunately, $10,300 on FanDuel is a steep asking price for someone this volatile, but it should be an interesting ownership play that could pay off with a solid week from tee to green.Mackenzie Hughes Is An Interesting Option At CJ Cup
Source: PGA Tour
Coming off a T10 and a T3 in his last two starts, Mackenzie Hughes is in a good place to make his fourth start at TPC Craig Ranch. The worrisome part for the Canadian this week is that his stellar short game (20th this season in strokes gained around the green: +0.335) won't do him many favors, as it is a long course that yields a ton of birdies. However, he's gained strokes across the board in his last three outings. Season-long strokes gained totals are heavily skewed from a poor start to the season, but aren't necessarily a testament to his current game. At $10,700, there is enough evidence in recent weeks to justify giving Hughes a chance this week.Aldrich Potgieter Trending Downward For CJ Cup
Source: PGATour.com
Aldrich Potgieter had a couple of highs in 2025 but several lows too. The South African golfer finished runner-up in Mexico and lost a playoff. However, he has seven missed cuts in 10 events on the PGA Tour. That includes five missed cuts and one outside Top 40 result over the past six starts. This has not sunk some metrics. Even his putting metrics which are still positive (46th in strokes gained - 0.289) have been negative since Mexico. Around the green numbers are even outside the Top 150 (171st at -0.43 strokes gained). Potgieter is now +400 to finish in the Top 20. That number would have been halved two months ago. His 71.44 scoring average has dropped to 165th which makes even a DFS possibility less intriguing for the CJ Cup.
