Joaquin Buckley picked up a third-round TKO win over Colby Covington in the main event of UFC Tampa on Saturday. Not including Covington's takedown, Buckley dominated the fight, from start to finish. In the first round, Buckley opened up a nasty cut above Covington's right eye, and just before the end of the third round, the referee called a halt to the action because the cut kept opening up. The UFC doctor then advised the referee to call off the fight and so he did. In 14:42 of action, Buckley landed 75 significant strikes. With the win, Buckley has extended his win streak to six and improved to 11-4 in the UFC.

Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington suffered a third-round TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley in the main event of UFC Tampa on Saturday. In the first round, Covington suffered a cut over his right eye that led to a doctor finally calling a stop to the contest in the third round. Throughout the fight, Covington was having problems with Buckley's striking and tried to take the fight to the ground. With 18 seconds left, after the fighters got back to their feet, the referee called the doctor back into the cage to look at Covington's eye, it was determined that Covington's cut was bad enough to stop the fight. In 14:42 of action, Covington landed a takedown and 37 significant strikes. Covington has now, for the first time in his career, lost back-to-back fights.

After a disappointing performance in his last fight against Muhammad Mokaev, Manel Kape got back in the win column by defeating Bruno Silva via third-round TKO. While Silva was looking to knock Kape out with every punch that he threw, Kape was tagging Silva with blistering combinations in succession. The fight was marred by multiple low blows from Silva, leading to a point deduction. After recovering for nearly full five minutes, Kape came out searching for the knockout in the round and landed a body kick that dropped Silva. Kape then continued with a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight. In 11:57 of action, Kape landed 111 significant strikes.

Bruno Silva suffered a third-round TKO loss to Manel Kape on the main card of UFC Tampa on Saturday. Prior to this bout, Silva had won four straight. Against Kape, Silva was dominated for the entirety of the fight, until he got TKO'd in the third round. Throughout the fight, Silva landed a few low blows and was eventually deducted a point after landing a low blow on Kape. In 11:57 of action, Silva landed 57 significant strikes. With the loss, Silva is 14-6-2 as a pro and 4-3 with one NC in the UFC.

Tuco Tokkos suffered a unanimous decision loss to Navajo Stirling on the main card of UFC Tampa on Saturday. Tokkos is 0-1 in the UFC and coming off a first-round submission loss to Oumar Sy back in May. Aside from landing a few takedowns, Tokkos was dominated for the majority of the fight. In 15 minutes of action, Tokkos landed three takedowns and 32 significant strikes. With the loss, Tokkos is now 10-5 as a pro.

Navajo Stirling extended his win streak to six by defeating Tuco Tokkos unanimously at UFC Tampa, held at Amalie Arena on Saturday. Stirling entered the bout as the favorite was fresh off his victory on Dana White's Contender Series. Stirling had a dominant performance against Tokkos and was even close to finishing his opponent, but Tokkos managed to survive. Stirling won the fight 30-27 on all three judges' scorecards. In 15 minutes of action, Stirling landed 78 significant strikes.

Adrian Yanez suffered a split decision loss to Daniel Marcos on the main card of UFC Tampa. Yanez entered the bout as the underdog and was outstruck in the first round. In the second round, Yanez did land the more damaging shots. However, in the third and final round, Yanez was taken down twice and controlled to lose the third round and the fight. With the loss, Yanez fell to 17-6 as a pro and 6-3 in the UFC as he's 1-3 in his last four.

Marcos outlanded Yanez in the first round but did slow down in the second round as the fight was tied going into the final round. In the third round, Marcos was able to outstrike Yanez and got two timely takedowns to control the round and get the win. The 31-year-old should get a ranked opponent next.

In the first two rounds, Petrino was landing the better shots. But, in the third round, as it appeared Petrino was on his way to winning, Jacoby landed a right cross that knocked the Brazilian out cold. With the loss, Petrino is now 11-2 as a pro and 4-2 in the UFC. He could fight for his job next time out.

Billy Quarantillo suffered a third-round knockout loss to Cub Swanson in the co-main event of UFC Tampa on Saturday. Quarantillo entered the fight as the favorite but was outstruck in the first round. He did have more success in the second round as he looked to take over the fight. But, in the third round, Quarantillo was caught by a one-two punch that put him out cold. With the loss, Quarantillo fell to 18-7 as a pro and 6-5 in the UFC. He likely will be fighting for his job next time out.

Cub Swanson picked up a third-round KO win over Billy Quarantillo in the co-main event of UFC Tampa. Swanson entered the fight as the betting underdog and he had a good first round outstirking Quarantillo. However, in the second round, Swanson slowed down and was controlled for 1:38. In the third round, Swanson landed a beautiful 1-2 combo that KO'd Quarantillo. With the win, Swanson is now 30-14 as a pro and 15-10 in the UFC. Swanson could have one more fight but did hint at this being his last.
