Oscar Gonzalez to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move. Fantasy managers will want to check back later, but Cronenworth should be back at second base for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Colorado Rockies and right-hander

Jose Iglesias back to a bench role. The 31-year-old Cronenworth will return after missing a month due to a non-displaced rib fracture that he suffered while being hit by a pitch. He went 3-for-7 with a home run during three minor-league rehab games and should return to being SD's everyday second baseman. Crone was hitting .257 (9-for-35) in the early going with two homers, five RBI and seven runs scored before going on the IL.

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander
Emmet Sheehan (elbow) faced live hitters in a simulated game on Thursday, according to manager Dave Roberts. The skipper doesn't know when Sheehan will be cleared for a minor-league rehab assignment, but also said "he's getting close." Sheehan threw roughly 40 pitches on Thursday and will be built up as a starter given all the team's injuries to their starters in the early portion of the season. The 25-year-old is working his way back after having a hybrid Tommy John surgery and internal-brace procedure on May 15 of last year. He has been throwing off a mound since late March, but there's still no timetable for his return. In a best-case scenario, Sheehan will be available to the Dodgers in the second half of this year, but he won't be guaranteed a rotation spot. In his first 13 big-league outings (11 starts) in 2023, he had a 4.92 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 64:26 K:BB in 60 1/3 innings.

Instead of rolling with a bullpen game in Sunday's series finale against the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that right-hander
Tony Gonsolin will make his next start on four days of rest. Gonsolin was originally scheduled to take his next turn in the starting rotation on Tuesday against the Athletics, so this move represents a downgrade for fantasy streaming purposes. Not only will the 30-year-old veteran be pitching on short rest, but he'll be facing a Diamondbacks team that has the fourth-best OPS (.762) at their home ballpark. After a late start to the 2025 season due to injury, Gonsolin has been solid in two starts against the lowly Miami Marlins, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits (two homers) while walking only two and striking out 17 in 11 innings pitched.

The Atlanta Braves announced on Friday that they designated veteran outfielder
Eddie Rosario for assignment to make room for infielder
Luke Williams on the 40-man roster after they selected his contract from Triple-A Gwinnett. Rosario began the 2025 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers but only played two games with them before signing a one-year deal with Atlanta last month. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter played just three games for the Braves. He went 1-for-8 with a run scored and two strikeouts in his five games with the Dodgers and Braves. It remains to be seen if he'll latch on with another team this season, but if he does, don't expect him to be anything more than a left-handed bat off the bench at the major-league level. Rosario slashed .175/.215/.316 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI and nine steals in 91 games last year with the Braves and Washington Nationals.

Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-4 with two singles in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The veteran also struck out twice. Ozuna is still getting on base at a strong clip, but he's slowed down power-wise over the last week or so, collecting just one extra-base hit in his previous nine games. While he doesn't boast the same gaudy pace he was on in 2024, the elite quality of contact metrics remains, as he bolsters well-above-average marks in that regard. The 34-year-old holds an absurd 20.8% walk rate -- the best in the league -- and has lowered his strikeout percentage to a palatable 21.5% (32:31 K:BB ratio). Look for the power to tick back up again soon.

Atlanta Braves right-hander
Spencer Strider (hamstring) will throw another bullpen session on Saturday, and manager Brian Snitker said the team will then decide if Strider will need to go on a minor-league rehab assignment. Strider received a platelet-rich plasma injection after suffering a right-hamstring strain on April 21, and it helped him speed up the process of feeling back to full strength. The 26-year-old threw his first bullpen on Wednesday. If he comes out of Saturday's session feeling good, it's possible he'll skip a rehab assignment and rejoin Atlanta's starting rotation next week. A 20-game winner in 2023, Strider made just two starts in 2024 before undergoing an internal-brace procedure on his right elbow that caused him to get a late start this season for Atlanta. When he's back in action in the big leagues, he'll be an immediate must-start in fantasy.

Stephen Kolek will remain in the team's starting rotation and make another start on Saturday at hitter-friendly Coors Field against the division-rival Colorado Rockies. Kolek will get another starting opportunity for the Friars after he tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings with two walks and four strikeouts for his first win of the season last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 28-year-old will get another amazing matchup against the last-place Rockies, but the venue in the thin air in Denver will also make him a pretty volatile fantasy streamer. Still, Kolek will be a pretty interesting streamer coming off a strong first outing against a Colorado offense that ranks second-to-last in team OPS at .623. If Kolek continues to pitch well in a starting role, he could remain in SD's rotation until the Padres get right-hander

Washington Nationals right-handed pitching prospect
Cade Cavalli (elbow) will make the start for Triple-A Rochester on Friday, according to The Washington Post's Spencer Nusbaum. Cavalli had to skip just one start after exiting his outing early on April 29 due to arm fatigue. The team's No. 7 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, continues to rehab from Tommy John surgery. In his three minor-league rehab starts to this point (one each with Single-A Fredericksburg, Double-A Harrisburg and Rochester, Cavalli has allowed three earned runs on six hits while walking four and striking out nine in 11 innings. The former 22nd overall pick in 2020 out of Oklahoma made his big-league debut in 2022, giving up seven earned runs in 4 1/3 innings of work before getting injured. The Nats aren't going to rush him back in 2025, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to return until some point in the second half.

Texas Rangers outfielder
Wyatt Langford went 1-for-4 with a single and two steals in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Boston Red Sox. He's up to six swipes in 2025 to match his home run total. The Florida native has been superb since returning from the IL with an oblique injury, batting first or second in all but two appearances and at least one hit in 13 of 16 games. During that time frame, Langford is a stellar 19-for-59 (.322) with six extra-base hits (four doubles, two homers), four steals, six runs scored, and eight RBI. He's striking out a bit more over that stretch (27.1%), but he's also slightly ticked up his walk rate (11.8%). Considering his lineup placement, it's surprising to see his run figure so low in the hot streak, but that should regress positively if he continues to get on base at an elevated clip.

Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in his team's 7-6 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The North Carolina State product added a single and stole his ninth bag of the season in the victory. Turner did all of his damage in the eighth inning or later on Thursday. He doubled in that frame -- but was left stranded -- and ultimately pushed across the game's winning run in the top of the tenth when he singled in
Brandon Marsh off Rays reliever
Manuel Rodriguez. He stole second a batter later. The former first-round pick has been excellent recently, tallying at least one knock in 12 of 13 appearances with seven multi-hit efforts -- including three straight. Over that stretch, he's a blistering 23-for-58 (.396) with four extra-base hits, three steals, eight RBI, and ten runs scored. Turner is up to a crisp .310 on the season.

Toronto Blue Jays infield prospect Sean Keys has begun to find his swing at High-A. Over his last nine contests, Keys has held a strong .333/.385/.639 slash line with five doubles, two home runs, and 13 RBI. During this stretch, he has held an 8:2 K:BB and swiped a bag. However, over his first 15 games with High-A Vancouver, Keys has posted a modest .170/.362/.264 line with just three extra-base hits (one home run). Last summer, the No. 19-ranked prospect in the Toronto system spent his entire debut season with Low-A. Across 22 games with Low-A, Keys posted a .293/.378/.451 line. The Blue Jays drafted Keys in the fourth round of the 2024 MLB Draft. Given his steady progress, Keys could be in the mix to move up to Double-A in the second half of the season.

Jarren Duran went 0-for-3 with an RBI and a strikeout in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Texas Rangers. The 28-year-old has scuffled a bit recently, going 1-for-16 over his last four outings. Duran's mini-slump comes after a hot stretch over the past few weeks in which he hit .317 (27-for-85) with at least one knock in 17 of 19 contests. He dealt with a cold spell in May of 2024 before he really turned it on in the summer months, so we know he's capable of bouncing back after a drought. Furthermore, he had out-produced his xBA over the last two years and is underperforming it right now, signaling he could rebound quickly. That tracks, considering his average exit velocity and hard-hit rates are better than they were last season, with a lower strikeout percentage (19.4%).

Athletics outfield prospect
Henry Bolte has been filling the stat sheet at Double-A Midland. Over his last nine contests, Bolte has held a strong .344/.488/.500 slash line with two doubles, one home run, and six stolen bases. During this stretch, he has held an 11:8 K:BB. Through 30 games this season, the 21-year-old has posted a solid .299/.397/.449 slash line with four doubles, four home runs, and 12 swiped bags. Last summer, Bolte made his Double-A debut but held a lower .252/.332/.396 line with the same number of home runs (4) across a much higher 54-game sample. Given his steady progress this season, fantasy managers should expect Bolte to push for a promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas in the coming weeks. However, the No. 8-ranked prospect in the system will likely have to wait until 2026 to contend for his MLB debut.

New York Mets first base prospect
Ryan Clifford has gone deep in back-to-back games at Double-A Binghamton. Over these two games, Clifford has gone 5-for-10 at the dish with three runs and five RBI. However, prior to this recent power surge, Clifford held a modest 0.80/.179/.080 slash line over his last eight contests. During this stretch, Clifford tallied just two hits (both singles). Through the first 27 games of the Double-A regular season, Clifford has held a .228/.330/.435 slash line with four doubles and five round-trippers. Last season, Clifford held a similar .231/.359/.456 slash line across 98 games with Double-A Binghamton. If Clifford can continue to find his power swing, he should be in the mix to join Triple-A in the coming weeks.

Jesus Made has looked quite comfortable during his first taste of Low-A. Through the first 22 games of the regular season, the 18-year-old has held a strong .295/.404/.455 slash line with nine doubles, one triple, three home runs, and nine stolen bases. Made scored 18 runs, brought in 15, and held a solid 22:14 K:BB. Over his last nine contests, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the system has been swinging a hot bat, posting a stellar .342/.444/.500 slash line with two round-trippers. Last season, the budding star spent his entire campaign in the Dominican Summer League, where he held a .331/.458/.554 line across 51 contests. He is a name to closely monitor in dynasty leagues as he appears to be a budding superstar in the Milwaukee system.
