Alec Pierce Expected To Suit Up In Week 13
Alec Pierce (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Patriots. The 24-year-old is dealing with a foot injury and missed practice during the week as a result. However, the team is expected to have him on the field, which is great news, considering Josh Downs (shoulder) won't be available. Without Downs, Pierce will see an increase in fantasy potential, giving him flex value in all fantasy formats.Source: Adam Schefter

Matt Gay A Reliable Kicker On Unreliable Offense In Week 13
Matt Gay has recorded at least two field goals in nine straight games, going 20-for-22 during that time with both misses coming from 50-plus yards out. The 30-year-old is 20-for-20 on extra points as well. Despite his recent stretch of success, Indy will take on the Patriots on the road this week where it will be cold and somewhat windy. Combine that with the ineffectiveness of the Colt offense and a contest that has a low expected total, Gay makes for a dicey fantasy play on Sunday.Source: ESPN

Jonathan Taylor A Back-End RB1 In Week 13
Jonathan Taylor has had less than 60 yards rushing in three of his last four contests and bottomed out in the passing game last week, not having garnered even a single target. The 25-year-old will face the Patriots on Sunday, a defense that has been middle-of-the-pack against the run. While cold conditions at Gillette Stadium might warrant going to the ground game a bit more this week, the problem for Taylor is that quarterback Anthony Richardson has eaten into his workload, with the QB rushing 20 times over the last two games. Last week that meant that Taylor was left with just 11 rush attempts, although that was also partly due to the fact that the Colts were playing catch-up from the start. Richardson also scored twice on the ground two weeks ago, taking away potential touchdowns for the fifth-year back, which further diminishes Taylor's upside. As such, the former second-round draft pick projects as a borderline RB1/2 this week.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts running back Michael Pittman Jr. To Lead Indy Receiving Corps In Week 13
Michael Pittman Jr. has had 15 targets and 11 catches over the last two weeks with Anthony Richardson under center, which is particularly impressive given Richardson's 53.4% completion rate during that time. Josh Downs had been the clear leader at the receiver position until two weeks ago, but now has eight catches on 12 targets over the last two weeks. Downs was injured last week and will not play Sunday, so Pittman will have even less competition for looks. The 27-year-old, who practiced in full all week, will face a Patriots pass defense that has yielded three 100-yard receivers in the last two games and has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to the WR position this season. Despite the setup, with Richardson not throwing many TD passes (five through seven full games) and winds that will make it feel close to freezing in Foxboro, the fifth-year pro looks like a WR3 on Sunday.Source: ESPN

Josh Downs Estimated As Non-Participant On Wednesday
Josh Downs (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant during Wednesday's estimated practice report as the team only held a walkthrough. Downs was initially deemed "week-to-week" after sustaining this shoulder injury during their loss to the Detroit Lions last weekend. However, the team has yet to rule Downs out, so fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor his status throughout the week. However, seeing him open the week as a non-participant is not a positive sign. Before Week 12, Downs was enjoying a nice stretch of performances as he averaged a strong 17.0 PPR points per game during Weeks 8 through 11. If Downs is unable to suit up, Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce (foot), and rookie Adonai Mitchell would lead the passing attack.Source: Indianapolis Colts

Adonai Mitchell Hauls In One Pass In Week 12
Adonai Mitchell caught one of his three targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions. The rookie wideout has a single catch in four of the last five games, with the other game where he caught more (six receptions) coming during Michael Pittman Jr.'s one-week hiatus. As the fourth option in a poor offense, the 22-year-old is a fantasy afterthought unless an injury opens up more opportunities for him. Josh Downs exited with a shoulder injury in this game but was able to return, however, keep an eye on this week's practice reports. If Downs' injury turns out to be more serious, Mitchell could be thrust back into relevance, but until then, he can be safely left to the waiver wire.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce Limited To One Catch In Week 12
Alec Pierce garnered his usual looks on Sunday but turned his four targets into just one catch in the 24-6 loss to the Lions. The one catch was a nice 39-yard grab, and Anthony Richardson missed him badly on a wide-open throw early on in the contest for what would have been a huge gain or even a touchdown. The continued dose of deep shots to the speedy receiver is encouraging, as one of these weeks it could turn into a big day for the 24-year-old, but it is hard to predict when that will be, especially if Richardson doesn't improve his accuracy. Week 13 brings a somewhat favorable matchup against the Patriots, but that contest will be on the road on what will be a chilly day in Foxboro. Nevertheless, Pierce figures to be a boom/bust WR5 again.Source: ESPN
