On Saturday, New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen told reporters that the team would not pick up offensive lineman Evan Neal's fifth-year option. The 24-year-old was the seventh overall pick for New York in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he was seen as a solid prospect during his college career. However, he's had trouble getting it together at the NFL level and has yet to live up to his first-round billing. In 2024, Neal was surpassed by free agent acquisition Jermaine Eluemunor on the depth chart, appearing in nine games (seven starts). The Giants are expected to try the Florida native out at guard this season, hoping to find another home for him, though it remains to be seen if he will stick. 2025 projects to be his final season with the team.--Alex CiullaSource: John Fennelly

The Carolina Panthers have announced they'll pick up the fifth-year option on offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu. He'll now be with the team through the 2026 season and garner a fully guaranteed $17.56 million in his fifth season. Carolina drafted the 24-year-old with the sixth-overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. Ekwonu has improved in each campaign since entering the league and was solid for Carolina in 2024, albeit a better run-blocker than he was in pass protection. Still, he's been reliable -- starting 49 of a possible 51 games -- missing just two contests last year with an ankle injury. The North Carolina State product will need to improve against the pass rush in order to eventually gain a lucrative contract, but he's been a fine contributor for the Panthers. He will anchor quarterback Bryce Young's blindside once again in 2025.--Alex CiullaSource: Tim Weaver

Former Miami Dolphins free-agent defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Ogbah, a former second-rounder (32nd overall) by the Cleveland Browns in 2016 out of Oklahoma State, will head to the AFC South after spending the last five seasons with the Dolphins. The 31-year-old veteran pass-rusher figures to be a rotational edge rusher for Jacksonville in 2025 behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. Ogbah had 49 tackles (27 solo), five sacks, nine tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, one interception and a forced fumble in 16 starts for Miami last year. He has 47.5 sacks in his nine-year NFL career, but Ogbah has never reached double-digit sacks in a single season and hasn't had more than 5.5 sacks since 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder), who has been staying in contact with team officials, said he has gotten an MRI exam and everyone is trying to figure out his next step. There have been rampant rumors that Carr is using his shoulder injury to try and force his way out of New Orleans. It remains to be seen if that's the case, but either way, the 34-year-old veteran signal-caller could need surgery on his shoulder, which would likely mean he wouldn't be ready for the start of the 2025 season this fall. Given the uncertainty around Carr, the Saints selected quarterback Tyler Shough in the second round of this year's NFL draft on Friday as an insurance policy. Depending on Carr's injury situation, Shough could be asked to make starts for the Saints sooner than later in 2025. Carr's fantasy value, meanwhile, continues to drop after another disappointing season in New Orleans in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: WDSU - Farrah Yvette

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports that the Minnesota Vikings have signed former University of Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer as an undrafted free agent. According to Pelissero, the deal includes $250,000 in guaranteed money. The Vikings signed 19 undrafted rookies following the draft. It's a smart move for the organization, adding more quarterback depth on the roster. Brosmer was a fifth-year collegiate athlete, but 2024 was his first season as a Golden Gopher. He was fine, completing 66.5% of his passes for 2,828 yards and an 18:6 TD:INT ratio, though it wasn't his best work. That came in 2023 when he recorded 3,459 yards and 29 TDs, adding another 127 yards and five scores on the ground for the University of New Hampshire. He'll have a shot to surpass quarterbacks Brett Rypien and the newly acquired Sam Howell on the depth chart.--Alex CiullaSource: Tom Pelissero

The New York Jets are signing former Michigan Wolverine running back Donovan Edwards as an undrafted free agent. By all intents and purposes, the Jets had a solid draft, but they didn't stop adding fantastic talent there. The 22-year-old has a nice blend of power and speed (4.44 40-yard dash), though he didn't do anything too noteworthy over his final two seasons at Michigan. However, a sophomore campaign that saw him rush for 7.1 yards per carry over 140 attempts (991 yards) is plenty intriguing enough. Edwards enters a less-than-favorable situation in New York, as he's likely to spend plenty of time behind returning teammates Breece Hall and Braelon Allen. He may be able to work his way up to third on the depth chart and potentially enter the conversation as a handcuff in deep formats. Still, it seems unlikely he'll see much playing time in 2025.--Alex CiullaSource: Zach Pressnell

The Atlanta Falcons have signed former San Jose State Spartan wide receiver Nick Nash as an undrafted free agent. Despite not making any flashy offensive selections in the draft, the Falcons wasted no time adding talent afterward. Nash became just the fourth FBS player in history to win the triple crown, registering 104 receptions, 1,382 yards, and 16 touchdowns in 2024. He spent the first three seasons of his tenure at San Jose State playing quarterback, transitioning to wideout to start the 2022 campaign. The 24-year-old didn't do much that year (six catches, 62 yards, three TDs), but picked it up in 2023 with a 47/728/8 receiving line. Nash's athleticism won't blow you away, but he recorded 45.9% of the team's receiving yards and touchdowns last season, making him one of the more intriguing undrafted assets.--Alex CiullaSource: Jeremy Fowler

The Tennessee Titans have signed former Miami Hurricane wide receiver Xavier Restrepo as an undrafted free agent, reuniting him with his college quarterback and first-overall pick Cam Ward. Ward was reportedly a "major advocate" for the wideout, and the two will now get an opportunity to take their collegiate connection to the NFL field. Restrepo spent five seasons in Miami, but didn't break out until 2023 when he recorded an 85/1,092/6 line in 13 games. With the arrival of Ward the following season, the 23-year-old upped his TD total to 11, while notching more yards (1,127) and YPC (16.3) -- leading the Canes in every significant statistical category for pass-catchers. Whether he'll make his way onto the field in three WR sets remains to be seen. However, outside of teammates Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett, his other target competition isn't too daunting.--Alex CiullaSource: Turron Davenport

The Miami Dolphins have selected Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers with the 231st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ewers was previously the top recruit coming out of high school in 2022. He originally committed to Texas, flipped to Ohio State, and then transferred to Texas a year later. Ewers was benched for Arch Manning during a game against Georgia last October, but for the most part, he was the Longhorns' starter. He finished his final collegiate season having completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,472 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. In Miami, he'll offer depth behind Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson. The Dolphins' No. 2 quarterback role has long been a topic of discussion due to Tagovailoa's history of serious concussions.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: NFL

The Indianapolis Colts have selected Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard with the 189th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. A Duke transfer, Leonard racked up 2,861 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions during his one and only season with the Fighting Irish. He also rushed for 906 yards and another 17 touchdowns on the ground. Leonard is capable of making big, accurate throws down the field, but he can also keep defenses guessing with his ability to roll out of the pocket and make plays. He joins a Colts quarterback room that features two other mobile quarterbacks, Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones. Leonard likely won't earn playing time in Week 1, but with glaring quarterback questions in Indianapolis, he could push for an opportunity to earn snaps down the stretch.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerSource: NFL
