Pablo Lopez Posting Poor Spring Numbers
9 months agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez has not looked like the ace-tier fantasy option fantasy managers are hoping for this spring. The 28-year-old has gone 0-2 with a 7.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 14 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched. While this is not encouraging for fantasy managers, they should remember that spring samples are small and that established players like Lopez may use the time to work on aspects of their game without concern for results. Lopez should still be considered a high-end fantasy option, as he had a solid 3.66 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 29.2% strikeout rate in 32 starts and 194 IP in 2023.
