Pablo Lopez Exits Tuesday's Start Early With Right-Shoulder Tightness
Pablo Lopez (shoulder) exited Tuesday's start against the Athletics before starting the sixth inning with right shoulder tightness, per Baseball America's Jessica Kleinschmidt. Lopez threw one warmup pitch and then exited the game to be replaced by Cole Sands. He had allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts on 72 pitches. He also hit a batter. Fantasy managers should wait for more news after the game to better understand the potential severity of his injury. Lopez did miss large chunks of time earlier in his career due to various shoulder injuries. It would be a shame for the Twins and fantasy managers if he were to miss any more time this season, as he has gone 4-3 with a 2.82 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP, and a 9.05 K/9 rate in 11 starts and 60 2/3 IP.
