Odell Beckham Jr. Sent Home With Illness
4 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been sent home with an illness on Thursday. The Browns aren't assuming anything with Beckham but want to play it safe amidst all the COVID-19 protocols the NFL has adopted this year. This isn't a huge concern just yet, but fantasy managers need to keep a close eye on whether he returns to practice on Friday. The low volume of the passing attack under Stefanski is a concern, but OBJ has been pretty solid as a WR2 so far this year, and he should remain one if he plays this weekend against a Pittsburgh team allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. If for some reason Beckham can't go this weekend, Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and tight end Austin Hooper would see an increase in targets.
