Nolan Arenado Attempts Two Steals
6 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is a heck of a player, but one thing his game doesn't really include is stolen bases. The most he's ever recorded in a major league season is three, but that hasn't stopped him from being a perennial first-round pick in fantasy drafts. Apparently, he decided he wanted to get those pesky steals out of the way on Friday night against the Giants. In the first inning, Arenado decided to try to swipe second with two outs and was thrown out. That didn't dissuade him, though, as he repeated the effort in the sixth inning for his first successful steal of the season. There's no implication that this is a new approach for Arenado, but maybe he could provide a handful of sneaky steals for owners this year.
