No Practice For Jamison Crowder Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder (calf) missed practice on Wednesday with a calf issue. The Jets really can't afford to lose any more pass-catchers, as Corey Davis is already out for the year and impressive rookie Elijah Moore isn't eligible to come off the Injured Reserve until Week 17. If Crowder is unable to play in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jets would be looking at three-wide sets consisting of Braxton Berrios, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson has struggled mightily without Davis and Moore in recent weeks, and things might get worse if Crowder cannot go. Crowder does have 20 targets in the last three games, but he has 12 receptions and 121 scoreless yards to show for it in that span. If he plays, he'll be a low-upside WR4/flex. Crowder has scored only two touchdowns in 11 games in 2021.
