Nick Lodolo Impresses In Spring Debut
4 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo, the team's No. 1 prospect, flashed his mid-90s fastball and a work-in-progress breaking ball in his spring debut against the Angels on Tuesday night. Lodolo was able to work a scoreless inning in the Cactus League game. The seventh overall pick in 2019 out of TCU went 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 18 1/3 innings in Rookie ball and Single-A in 2019. Lodolo took part in summer camp last year and was at Cincy's alternate training site. If everything works out, the southpaw could make his major league debut this year or in 2022. It's uncertain when the 23-year-old will pitch in another Cactus League game. For now, those in dynasty/keeper leagues should be keeping a watchful eye on the young lefty.
