Nick Castellanos Scratched With Injury Tuesday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Castellanos (finger) was scratched from the team's spring training lineup on Tuesday due to a sore right middle finger. TJ Friedl took his spot in right field to begin the game. The injury isn't believed to be serious, so Castellanos could return to Cactus League action in a day or two. The 29-year-old has plenty of power that should continue to play in hitter-friendly Cincinnati, but he had a career-low .225 batting average in 2020, thanks to a 28.5 percent strikeout rate. However, there could be a bounce-back in store after he posted an expected batting average of .275 with a 46.7 percent hard-hit rate. Castellanos could be a very nice value at his current 83 ADP over a full season in Cincinnati.
