Nick Castellanos Has Turned It Around In 2021
Nick Castellanos hit for some power last year in the shortened season, but he also put up the lowest batting average and on-base percentage of his career after posting a 1.002 OPS in 51 games for the Chicago Cubs in the second half of 2019. Castellanos has turned things around this year, raising his batting average from .225 in 2020 to a league-leading .340 so far in 2021. He also leads the league in hits and doubles and is just one home run behind last year's pace. The 29-year-old slugger is slashing .300/.349/.450 with a homer and seven RBI in 20 games in June and should be selected to the All-Star game next month. Castellanos is one of the best all-around hitters in the game this year.
