Mookie Betts Hitless Sunday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts didn't register a hit in five at-bats in Sunday's win over the Yankees. Betts is going through a mini slump, recording just three hits in his last 21 at-bats, after previously posting a modest six-game hitting streak. Of course, he's been hitting leadoff in four of his last five games that the slump has been happening, so it will be interesting to see if Boston shifts him back to the two-hole. Betts is still slashing .286/.398/.473 with nine homers, 27 runs batted in, 45 runs scored, on top of six stolen bases. It's ok to expect more from the reigning American League MVP, and it will hopefully come soon, as Boston floats around .500 on the year.
