Mike Gesicki 2020 Outlook: A Big Breakout Candidate In 2020
5 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki is looking to build upon his 2019 season where he caught 51 passes for 570 yards and five touchdowns. He is one of the most athletic tight ends in the league. Gesicki has the speed to get downfield and the short-area quickness to create separation when breaking off routes. Last year, he commanded a 15 percent share of the passing targets and a 17 percent share of the team’s air yards. He scored 68.8 PPR fantasy points in his last five games, which allowed him to finish the season at the TE12. It’s quite possible we are seeing him develop right in front of our eyes. He is currently holding 121.14 ADP and is usually the 12th tight end off the board in fantasy drafts. Gesicki should be considered a value due to his elite level athleticism and his ownership of his team’s passing volume. He’s a breakout candidate who is falling into the double-digit rounds of fantasy drafts. There’s a very good chance he finishes the season as one of the top tight ends in the league. If you are looking for a late-round tight end with a lot of upside, then Gesicki is your guy.
