New York Mets superstar outfielder Juan Soto (foot) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Padres with a left foot contusion. X-rays on Juan Soto's foot were negative; he's day to day, and the Mets are confident nothing is broken, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Soto fouled a ball off his foot in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the San Diego Padres. Soto was able to finish the at-bat, but was eventually replaced by Tyrone Taylor once the Mets went out to play the bottom half of the inning. The Mets may play it safe with Soto and sit him on Wednesday, given that an off day is already scheduled for Thursday. On the season, Soto is currently slashing .248/.382/.488 with 25 home runs, 62 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 75 runs scored in 379 at-bats. He remains a top outfield option for fantasy managers even with his subpar results compared to Soto's standards.--Nicho Roessler
